I strive to create a therapeutic relationship with my clients which allows them to explore their world in a nurturing and safe environment. My practice is grounded in a humanistic, person-centred approach but I also incorporate elements of other therapeutic models such as Psychosynthesis, Psychodynamic theory, Attachment theory, Existential theories, Art Therapy, Family Therapy, CBT into my work.

I hold a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Turning Point Institute, affiliated to University College Cork. I have worked in the Education sector for over twelve years, and worked with clients from a variety of settings.

I have experience working with clients with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, relationship issues, grief, eating disorders, addiction, self esteem issues, self harming, sexual abuse among others. I have a particular interest in working with adults who have experienced trauma in their childhood, or have attachment issues that they would like to explore in adulthood.

I am very passionate about and love working with people in a therapeutic way. I believe that people have the power and potential to explore their own values and beliefs in a safe and nurturing environment. As an Integrative Psychotherapist I will work alongside you throughout this process, to empower you to develop your self-awareness. I work in a collaborative manner which allows me to use the therapeutic approach which is best suited to your needs and wants.”

My aim is to provide the client with a supportive, nurturing environment in which to explore their experiences which have brought them to this point in their lives. I will focus on coping mechanisms, as well as processing deep and painful emotions through a variety of models and approaches.
